平面交差

平面交差（へいめんこうさ、本来の表記は「平面交叉」）とは、2つの異なる鉄道路線・道路などが同一平面状で交じり合った地点である。

同一平面上で交差するため、立体交差と比較し設置コストや必要な敷地が少なくて済む反面、鉄道ではダイヤを組む際に支障をきたし、道路では渋滞やそれに伴う大気汚染を招く。

鉄道同士ではダイヤモンドクロッシング、道路同士では交差点、鉄道と道路では踏切、道路と水路では洗い越しと言う。

道路台帳

道路台帳もしくは道路施設台帳といい、道路管理者が作成する道路に関する基礎的な事項を示した台帳である。位置、数量を図面に示したものを道路台帳附図という。

道路台帳は道路法第28条、道路法施行令第5条2項によって作成が義務付けられている。
道路法第28条3項により、道路管理者が道路台帳の閲覧を禁止することはできない。
国有財産台帳や地方自治法に基づく財産台帳に代えることはできない。

スノーシェルター

スノーシェルターとは、雪害から建物・施設・設備を保護するためそれらを覆う建造物。豪雪地帯や雪の吹き溜まりとなりやすい場所に設置されている。

雪囲いの一種で、単に元々｢雪囲い｣と呼んでいたものを｢スノーシェルター｣と呼ぶようになった物なども存在する。
